It's been like 6 months since I last wrote something here.
Shame on me big time!
But I have an excuse, I hate excuses but still I have one. This summer has been a really busy summer for me. I was nearly never home and since school started I'm busy with that. So I neglected my blog a little bit (read: much).
I'm now doing 4 weeks internship and I'm about to start my last week. After that I promise to put some nice things up here.
I'm the happiest girl in the world today! I finally got my Christmas present from my sister!

And what a beauty she is. There's one downside to this story. Now that I got her, the exams are just around the corner. So there's not much time to get to know my new device. Still, I'm learning all the functions when I take a break from studying.
The perfect break, non?
Last week was a productive week for me. I'm over my head in preparations for my internship. Read: a desk full of paperwork and a head full of ideas.
Lucky for me, I still have time to do some relaxing things like thrifting! Yay.
Actually I was looking for some stuff that I could use on my internship and I've found a lot of fun stuff BUT I've also done quite a few bargains just for ME.

Yesterday and today were some fantastic, sunny days here in Belgium.
Yesterday, I enjoyed the sun on the Graslei in Ghent with some friends, today I enjoyed it in my own backyard.
I love it when the sun is starting to come through those grey days and the first spring / summer days are often the nicest. After such a harsh and cold winter, these days are more than welcome. I feel instant happy.

On the 10th of March, there was a retro fair in Flanders Expo Ghent. I wanted to go and the boyfriend was happy to go with me! This year was the second year that I've went to the retro fair.
The fair is an association of various thrift shops. These stores offer all their vintage and retro stuff for sale in the halls of Flanders Expo.
Lucky me found some great stuff!

Today I came across this picture and then it hit me.
The sentence "why are you always waiting? tomorrow isn't guaranteed", sometimes crosses my mind.
I make lists of what I need/want to do this week or ever in my life, but most of the time it doesn't happen or isn't happened yet.
Then I think, why don't I just go for it tomorrow. Oh well, you know the bug that's called fixed obligations and that is especially school.
Holidays and fun things often need to be scheduled due to a busy school schedule.
A shame, because sometimes the best things are spontaneous, aren't they?
Oh well, once I'll do it, spontaneous take a car, train, bus or boat to a nice destination

I knew pinterest for some time and could spend hours browsing among the photos and yesterday I decided to finally make my own account.

I received this book, actually I've got it since last Friday but then I was still in the middle of my exams. So during the exams I had it lying by the side, waiting for me, but now the exams are over I totally can go wild.
Can't wait!
I know the sales are over but I managed to go saleshopping during the exams. I took 2 days off to go shopping because the sales are the only time I go shopping. I went a day in the beginning and one at the very end.

He is my little friend. I made him with polymer clay and lots of love. He sits in a clay pot and may be accompanied by a plant or some sand.
I need practice more in making human faces because I'm not so good at it. It's also been a while since I've made polymer clay faces. Lately, I prefer making jewelry and animals but I can get more satisfaction from working on a face for days. Weird, but true.

I've seen this book at some site's and in some bookstores. I think it's the ideal way for me to blow off some steam and have some fun after the exams.
